  • Civilian Chaplain ‘the Reverend’ Hubert Gordon Allan (Young Men’s Christian Association) dies on service at age 29.
  • Private Frank Walter Toombs (Gloucestershire Regiment) dies of pneumonia at home at age 16. His brother will be killed in action next month.
  • Private Arthur Stanley Brooking (Devonshire Regiment) dies on service at age 20. His brother will be killed in April 1917.
