Steamship Commodoe is captured by the submarine U-33 160 miles ESE from Malta and then sunk by bombs. One life is lost.

  • Major Charles Oswald Nicholson Williams (Lancaster Regiment) is killed on Hill 60 at age 54. He is the former ADC to ‘Sir’ William Robertson, Governor of Adelaide Australia.
