Today’s highlighted casualties include:
- Major George Humphrey Irving Graham (Merwara Infantry) is killed at age 42 in Mesopotamia. He is the son of Major General G F I Graham and he had served in the Tirah and South African Campaigns.
- Commander George Douglas Jephson (HMS Dartmouth) dies on service and is buried in Nice at age 40. He is the son of the Reverend Canon Henry Jephson. He served in the Persian Gulf from 1912 to 1914.
- Lieutenant Wilfrid Henry Westcott Haslam (Royal West Kent Regiment) is killed in action in Mesopotamia at age 29. He is the son of the late Reverend F Haslam, Vicar of Hernhill, Faversham and a Rosslyn Park Rugby footballer.
