- Major Philip Kirkland Glazebrook DSO (Cheshire Yeomanry) a Member of Parliament for South Marchent since 1912 is killed in action at Bireh near Jerusalem at age 37.
- Second Lieutenant John Maurice Hancock (Royal Flying Corps) is killed at age 18. He is the son of Canon Hancock.
