Sergeant Alfred Chisman (Royal Fusiliers) dies of pneumonia at age 50 after being discharged from the Army in August 1916 from wounds received the previous May.  He was formerly employed as a porter at the Isolation Hospital in Highfield Lane and then became Master of the new Isolation Hospital in Bennetts End following his discharge (his wife was the Matron) and later School Attendance Officer.
